Hi, name name is Angie, and I love to run, swim and bike! I love to run marathons as well as swim with my local masters group in Las Cruces, NM, as well as take spinning classes. I am married to a wonderful man, Mike, and we have and we have an 11 month old son, Sammy.
Mike and I own our own business in town, where I do the accounting and financial stuff. Along with owning our own business I am also a coach for a local swim team that I coach at night. Life is definitely busy!
While I was pregnant with Sammy I gained 56 pounds! YIKES! So far I have been able to take most of it off, but I am currently trying to lose the last 15 pounds of baby weight.
Losing weight is not new to me… I was over weight as a pre-teen and lost a lot of weight ( 75 pounds) when my whole family changed their diet when I was a freshman in high school. I was always active, playing soccer, swim team, jump roping team, but I always had a hard time with portion control, and still do at times. I gained weight again as a freshman in college ( the dreaded freshman 15!) and then lost it when I took up running as a hobby. After I lost the 15 pounds I didn’t stop running but started racing in triathlons, 5ks, 10ks, and half marathons until I started running marathons!
